As a racing enthusiast, I love visiting the Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA, and it’s always an experience I will never forget. The speedway is located just outside of Seattle and has been in operation since 1954, making it one of the oldest tracks in the Pacific Northwest.
The first thing that strikes you about the speedway was its size. The track is a 5/8-mile oval with 14-degree banking in the turns, and it can accommodate up to 16,000 spectators. The facility also includes a n infield short track and a figure-eight track, providing a diverse range of racing experiences for drivers and fans alike.
During my visit, I had the chance to witness a variety of races, including the Summer Showdown. The atmosphere was electric, with the sound of engines roaring and the smell of burning rubber filling the air.
One of the highlights of my visit was watching the Super Late Model races. Evergreen Speedway is one of the premier facilities of tracks in the country that host high-profile money races, and it was amazing to see these drivers like Derek Thorn, Preston Peltier, Kole Raz, Dustin Ash, and more pushing their cars to the limit around the track.
Overall, my visit to Evergreen Speedway was a thrilling and unforgettable experience. The combination of high-speed racing, top drivers, and enthusiastic fans made for an incredible atmosphere that I would recommend to anyone who loves racing or adrenaline-fueled events. If you find yourself in the Pacific Northwest, be sure to check out this iconic track and witness the excitement for yourself.
