Sean Hingorani made his way to Delaware for the ARCA Menards Series East Round Two last weekend at the Monster Mile at Dover.
The 16-year-old driver from Newport Beach, CA first trip to the iconic track began with quite a few challenges, but he managed to overcome the adversity and drive his way back to a top-ten finish.
Last weekend's race at Dover didn’t start as expected for Hingorani and the VMS team. The rain came into the area and stayed all day on Friday causing the General Tire 125 to be rescheduled for Saturday following the Xfinity race.
Despite not being able to practice or qualify, Sean Hingorani, Dover Monster Mile, Sean Hingorani ARCA was ready to go racing at a track he’s only ever been able to see before on a SIM.
Unfortunately, when it came time to go racing on Saturday afternoon, the car rolled off with mechanical issues. This caused him to have to head back to the pits before the green flag even fell. The Venturini Motorsports team worked hard to get him back out and running albeit more than 40 laps down.
Throughout the race, Hingorani battled hard to get in some valuable laps and gain experience. He showed impressive pace and consistency, setting lap times that were on par with the top of the leaderboard. And when the checkered flag finally fell, Hingorani had earned himself a well-deserved 10th-place finish.
We definitely didn't get to see what Hingorani was capable of at Dover, but it’s a long season ahead for this talented young driver. With his sights set firmly on winning races and championships, Hingorani will undoubtedly continue to hone his skills and push himself to new heights as the season unfolds.
For fans of racing, Sean Hingorani is a name to watch. With his natural talent, fierce determination, and unwavering focus, he has all the makings of a future champion.
