Jett Wins First Time Out On A 450 / Hunter Will Be The Guy To Beat In The 250 Class
Both Lawrence Brothers kicked off their outdoor season in spectacular fashion at Fox Raceway. The dynamic duo, known for their fast riding and likable personalities left no doubt about just how fast they'll be outdoors as they claimed impressive victories in the 250 and 450 classes in Round 1.
From the moment the gate dropped, Jett Lawrence was in control and never looked back. Chase Sexton kept him close in Moto 2 but didn't ever really get close enough to make a pass. Lawrence led every lap and every minute of his first 450 Class race, which was complemented by the fastest time in both qualifying sessions, to complete what could be said the most impressive premier class debut in the history of Pro Motocross.
Hunter Lawrence’s consistent 3-1 moto finishes in the 250 Class not only gave the Australian the second victory of his career but allowed him to establish a solid point lead after round 1. Hayden Deegan earned the first overall podium finish of his career getting second (6-2), while Hampshire’s impressive Moto 1 victory and late charge in Moto 2 earned him the final podium spot in third (1-11).
The Lawrence Brothers' Round 1 victory at Fox Raceway serves as a powerful look at their future dominance in the motocross arena. As the outdoor season unfolds, all eyes will be on the Lawrence Brothers as they become the riders to beat.
